About the workshop
This workshop focuses on expanding ones capacity of tolerance and acceptance. It is intended to inspire organisations to recognise diversity as an asset and what inclusion can look like to them by utilising effective means of communication. We will look at Emotion Intelligence as a skill that can be developed through the practices of Nonviolent Communication and recognition of individuals' frame of reference.
You will gain:
- Recognition that by focusing on inclusion, diversity will naturally follow
- Understanding of Protected Characteristics and the Equality Act 2010
- How to confidently support colleagues to foster a culture of wellbeing and acceptance of oneself and others
- Recognition of your own Frame of Reference and common workplace biases
- Tips of managing biases and Nonviolent Communication tools
- Types of Ally's and how to hold yourself and others accountable
About
Nikita is an Inclusion Specialist, with an academic background. The main focus of her work is on Disability and Neurodiversity. Being born with a birth deformity and diagnosed Dyslexic and ADHD, Nikita weaves in her lived experience to provide context and proof of best inclusion practices.
